This is an amazing President, will never get over it. Wonderful initiative which has been in place for years and which I almost never hear discussed by Blacker-than-Thou, Inc. Right now, the POTUS is delivering amazing remarks about women’s equality. Love these townhalls!

This is so amazing, so historic.

Never seen anything like it and IMO never will again.

        • I wish he could have a third term.

            Oh yes.

    • AxelFoley

Seriously. What has the Blacker-Than-Thous ever done for us or for our African brothers and sisters?

      Nada. Zilch. No-thang.

One thing I’ve always loved about these particular town halls is the level of respect and politeness afforded to the POTUS. It is so refreshing to see the President treated with respect and not impoliteness and/or undisguised hostility, yet the questions are hard-hitting and honest. Makes me ashamed to think of how the far right and the PL conduct themselves when given opportunity to interact with the WH.

“We got a Maasai sister right here”—-best United States President of this generation. The pic compilations for this townhall are going to be incredible.

Mandela Fellowship for Young African Leaders!! This event is launching something BIG and ENDURING! Can’t wait to see the video when it’s up, Miranda!

Found a list of invited leaders from Africa Nations. Very telling that those not invited include Sudan, Eritrea, and Zimbabwe. Quite a few of my students at a 2 year college had fled from these 3 countries.

One from Sudan gave me a Quran , one from Eritrea told me about the conflict between Ethiopia and Eritrea in her lifetime , and one from Zimbabwe told me of his flight from his homeland, too.

I remember them for their courage, their determination, and their openness to life here.

And Arthur from Zimbabwe was always popping by my office to talk about his adventures at Waffle House. (He loved WH and the people).

I love this so very much! Africa is so vibrant with so much to contribute to the world. These young people are the future of a whole continent.
