So I posted earlier about Obama locking up the Christie vote by having Bruce Springsteen call from AF1 when Obama was making his daily call to the Hurricane Sandy elected officials. So ok for some reason the Romney camp leaked that Christie refused to participate in a rally with Romney yesterday. Why in the world they leaked this story and thought it was a good story for them?

Report: Chris Christie Declined Invite To Romney Event Sunday

The Romney campaign seems to have leaked the fact that Mitt Romney asked Chris Christie to appear with him at a rally Saturday night in Morrisville, PA. But Christie declined. This is being portrayed in GOP circles as another example of Christie’s compromised allegiance to the GOP ticket.
But isn’t this borderline certifiable on the part of the Romney camp? Can you imagine the epic crapstorm Christie would have rightly gotten if he left the state in the middle of this catastrophe to go to Pennsylvania to attend a political rally?
It’s frankly such a crazy request that it shows just how deeply Romney’s been stung by Christie’s praise of President Obama.

Romney Charges Reporters for Election Night Party

Mitt Romney “appears to be setting a precedent this election year in charging journalists and news organizations for any access to a presidential campaign headquarters on the night of the election,” Mass Live reports.

Romney “will be holding his election night gathering at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, where access costs anywhere from $75 for a chair in the ballroom to $1,020 for permission to use the media filing center. Broadcast news organizations will be paying up to $6,500 for workspace.”

“Obama’s campaign party will be held at McCormick Place, in Chicago, and although his campaign is charging for premiums, credentialed reporters are granted access, which includes a workstation, electrical power and a wireless Internet connection, at no cost.”

Today, the Iranian Foreign Policy and National Security Commission of Parliament Mohammad Hossein Asfari told the Iranian Student’s News Agency, the second largest news organization in the nation, that Iran was shutting down their centrifuges, suspending its entire nuclear program, as a symbol of “good will.”[....]

Nuclear development is not something you can just suspend and restart at will. The materials degrade, decompose, and pollute themselves over time. Any successful nuclear program requires continuous active development. Once a program is shut down, in effect it will need to be restarted from scratch. Years of effort, gone.
