        Why does this whole scenario remind me of the Astro-Nut case where the astronaut jumpoff lady drove 800 miles in Depends to stop the man involved from getting back with his wife!

        This sounds like that but less dramatical. Broadwell was prolly sniffing around in Petraeus’ e-mail to see if there’s another side-piece and the 2nd woman just called the FBI to let it be known that a civilian is all in Petraeus’ email and said “ain’t that a national security risk?” That way, she can keep her anonymity and expose Broadwell and stop her from running around with Petraeus.

        I’m think Petraeus had been an adulterer for years in the military, but since he’s a general, he wouldn’t be exposed. Now that he’s in the CIA and folks were leaking stuff about Benghazi, other CIA people were mad, they prolly looked him up and said “You’ve got to go, pal.”

            His wife isn’t conventionally attractive. Their body language was off. They look like they are living two completely separate lives. The wife is still gonna work for the administration in January in the cfpb wing of the military. She prolly knows he’s a cheater, which is why she hasn’t said anything. Petraeus prolly went home last night and the only thing Holly said to him was “I thought you’d be more discreet” and kept it moving eating dinner and reading her kindle.

    Even though Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) won re-election at the same time he was on the national ticket, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel notes he was crushed in his hometown of Janesville, WI by challenger Rob Zerban (D), 55% to 44%. Ryan had never lost Janesville in a re-election campaign before.

    Willard’s lies and his shadowy money were beaten back, if just barely. I am filled with gratitude and relief. If this little blog contributed even a tiny bit to this victory, it is reward enough.

    But the credit belongs to YOU, those who were committed to defeating the lies and the right-wing fanaticism of the Republican campaign. YOU DID IT!!

The young black woman that waited on me was all smiles.She said today is a great day even though it was cloudy and cold as hell this morning. I replied hell this has been a good week we both giggled like school girls. Next to us were a couple of white men going on and on about the economy and the president.They were mad and all we could do was give each other that look while laughing. You know what look I am talking about. LOL I love our people!

        I was just in Safeway and have an Obama/Biden button on my coat. A white man who looked to be somewhere in his 40s walked up and said, “Ma’am, I like your button!” I said thanks and he said, “We did a very good thing on Tuesday.” I agreed and said we seem to be still doing good, thinking of the races not yet called. He agreed and said it was good talking.

And there are also plenty poc who don’t like this president. That’s their prerogative I just don’t let it bother me. So don’t fret about it, it’s all good.

          I look at those pics, and just sigh and they bring a smile to my face.

          I can’t even fathom what’s in the hearts of people who don’t smile to see such a beautiful representation of AMERICA to the rest of the world.

      Although it appears we are divided and self-hating (e.g. black-on-black violence; crabs-in-a-barrel mentality; the man’s ice is colder), there are many, many, many things in our culture that survived slavery and possibly the Middle Passage.

      The unique ability we have to communicate non-verbally with each other by a glance, nod or in silence symbolizes this survival. In addition to being overjoyed and thankful about the re-election of President Obama, I am equally moved by the ways that black folk connected with each other during this election. No, there weren’t 30+ million people on blogs or in chat rooms, on the radio or TV making a plan. But just a surely as drums sent messages that were heard miles and miles away, the silent communique that spread via visions, dreams and glances; the hushed conversations that told of shock and anger over the mistreatment of President Obama and his family; and the constant prayerful watchfulness and pride that black folk have engaged in since January 2008, was displayed in this voting season in a glory, determination and resoluteness that has not been witnessed on this scale since the Civil Rights era, in my opinion. We would NOT be moved – and we held others up when they wanted to let go.

      I love being black in America. Yeah, it’s rough; and yeah, we can act the zip damned fool and be an unadulterated hot-ass, wet mess; but I wouldn’t be any race for all the money in the world.

      Chambliss? What purpose does he serve, to ask how he feels about an amputee veteran winning in a race with an R? He isn’t in the leadership. He’s dense.     Reid alluded to potential abuse of minority voters.

    In his comments, Reid mentioned that the Supreme Court would consider a challenge to the Voting Rights Act, which protects minority voters. Specifically, the court will deliberate a portion of the law that makes states with a history of discrimination get federal approval before changing voting laws.

    “In light of the Supreme Court’s decision to hear challenges to the Voting Rights Act, we are reminded that the right to vote is the foundation of our democracy. That right is not secure when some votes are counted while others are suppressed or ignored. I expect state and local officials in Arizona to ensure that every vote is counted promptly, accurately and equally,” Reid said.

          Cochise county but they are “found” now being counted. I think most of their votes will go for Ron Barber who is up 320 votes last I read & there are still 60,000 votes uncounted in Pima county but his district only covers part of that county.

          I am staying positive on this one. Also there has been so much attention paid to our mess here that we have lots of observers.

          It will be interesting to see what happens with Maricopa county which still has over 300,000 ballots left to count. It’s pretty much a Repub stronghold but we will see. A lot of those ballots came from minority precincts.

    Okay, I’ve been reading this blog archive, and I’ve never seen such a hateful bunch of people in my life. Most of the “professional left” you like to attack are only asking that Obama makes good on his promises.

    Yes, some go too far, and I can see a need for “pragmatic” sites to rebut the most extreme. But this site is a complete overreaction to that need. All you guys seem to do is scour the internet looking to attack anyone who says an unkind word about the president no matter how small the criticism.

    From my perspective, this site is nothing more than a bunch of lonely, middle-aged black woman living vicariously through Obama like he’s your boyfriend. He’s NOT your boyfriend. He’s the president of everyone, even those who criticize him. The sooner you realize this the better.

    Wow. It was a great day. 68 degrees = last of warm days in Minneapolis in 2012. Watched “Black Girls Rock” with daughter. She spent the night telling me that she’s a Black Girl and she Rocks! Yes you are, now its bedtime.

    To those who missed it, Tuesday I wore a red sweatshirt with a bright R on it. I was asked by a colleague why I wore red today of all days. She didn’t notice the black pants or green shirt under it. Nobody did. If they did they didn’t speak of it. I received several compliments even though I’ve worn this item several times this Fall.

    Wednesday, I wore red, white and blue. Felt all patriotic and proud of my state and country (h/t FLOTUS.) When approached again by said colleague, I said: You know me way better than that. Through up my diamonds and said: Rocafella y’all. And walked off.
