Imma take the high road……right after I view this one more time…LOL! Sorry Lord, but they are hateful.

    • Miranda

I tried to take the high road…..but I just kept merging to the left and getting back on F U highway!

      • edp4bho

Feels good to slap them up side their nasty heads after the way they treat the C-I-C. Unpatriotic bitches.

  • Alma98

Miranda you did this to get that troll kcprescott to come back didn’t you? HAHAHAHA! It seems like he/she only show up when there’s a Romney thread lol.

    • Miranda

      teeheehee

    • AxelFoley

The trolls have been deathly silent on all the political blogs I go on.

      LOLOLOLOL

      • Alma98

        LOL

      • qosine

Had their credit cards cut off?

  • angee

I gotta say this and excuse me for my vulgarity on a Sunday, but Petraeus must be the sho nuff sho nuff cause he made broadwell LOSE her dayum mind. He gotta be working with some Chuck Berry you know what. I’m sure some of y’all have heard bout the legend of Chuck Berry. That song was an autobiography. Ask you momma or aunty, bet they heard lol.

    • AxelFoley

Expound on Chuck’s legend, if you will.

      • angee

Big feet. Here is the song I was talking bout http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMddte6yD2w

        • AxelFoley

Ah, ok I gotcha now. LOL

        • conlakappa

The legends I know Chuck Berry for are for scat and for young girls. Think R. Kelley but with, um, a different number. He used to hang out with Jerry Lee Lewis. I think they were often being chased out of town.

looking at the video, the first thing that popped in my mind was that Mos Def could play him in a movie.

      • sagittarius

Any man who can write a song called ‘Brown Eyed Handsome Man’ in 1956 ain’t scurred to claim a dang thang – just sayin’!

        • angee

My momma LOVED some Chuck Berry, and I never understood till I got older hahaha. Now I know. Chuck was a FREAK!

          • sagittarius

            WAS? Still is!

OMG! This is a real blast from the past. I was about 13 when old Chuckie got sent down for violating the Mann Act. I had no clue what that was & because I had just heard it & not read it I thought it was actually “The Man Act” So I asked about it & Granny answered with: “never you mind just don’t be getting into cars with old men.”

That was not very enlightening because at that time the only car I wanted to ride in belonged to Manny S__ 17 year old bad hombre of the neighborhood. Of course this was never going to happen since my brothers would have had some serious words with him if he sniffed around their sister. But a girl can dream & he was muy cute.

I always associated that whole thing plus the Mann Act with my dream boat Manny even after I found out what the Mann Act actually was.

Gracias for the memories & the laughs.

The grill on that brunette in the vid…priceless.

  • http://themidnightsolution.blogspot.com LTMidnight

I try to feel bad for those people in that video. I really do try. But we’re on the right side of history. Every last one of those people in that video will be praising Obamacare in 10 – 15 years. Every last one of them have gay friends or relatives that they care about.

All of the women in that video with their face tight should be glad that they choices now and old white men aren’t controlling their vaginas.

    • conlakappa

Um, I really never wanted to consder the nether regions of any of those women. I preferred to think of them as the cartoons they are not as sentient beings.

For the next republican presidential candidate to stand a chance, he/she needs to be capable of telling the Rush Limbaughs, Kock Brothers, and teabaggers of this country to go fuck themselves.

    Who will it be?

    • AxelFoley

Only one who fits (pardon the pun) the bill is Chris Christie.

      • http://themidnightsolution.blogspot.com LTMidnight

If we start seeing him in Tae Bo workout videos and Subway commercials, we’ll know what’s up.

          *dead*

      • http://themidnightsolution.blogspot.com LTMidnight

Make no mistake. I would never vote for Krispy Kreme for president. But damn would it feel good if he were to tell Rush to eat a dick and die.

      • http://pragmaticobotsunite.blogspot.com/ Sepia

Don’t be too sure about that.

        • qosine

Yep. He’s ambitious Republican. He wants to clear his side of the field, and I’m a Democrat. He supports mega privatization of gov services and public works, and I don’t. But I appreciate his focus on his state of
NJ, a place he clearly cares about and his open praise of our President.

          • conlakappa

He is a GOPAC alum, which explains the hissingly nasty personality. If he is a contender, figure him to be as nasty as the rest of them and managed by the usual suspects.

My firm is headquartered in Boston and I learned during the firmwide staff meeting on Friday that the office is right in the middle of that campaign’s area. I am sure near where the fireworks were supposed to be set off. We had a laugh or two about that.

The sobbing texter makes me giggle. “I haz a sad.”

No, I don’t feel bad for those morons in the video. Karma=undefeated.

    • conlakappa

How about the people closing their business for the day to mourn America and Virginia? That is deep.

      • edp4bho

Ah, they’ll be open soon enough- can’t miss those holiday duckets, now.

    • Aquagranny911

I don’t feel bad for them either. They can suck it up just like I had to when AZ went to Robme. Although I am grateful that no one was filming me when I had my melt down.

      • Alma98

Didn’t they tell us to suck it up in 2004, so they can have a seat.

        • Ebogan63

Yeah,I remember that isht, ‘Get over it’ Naw you mofos GET OVER IT YOU FUCKING LOST!!!

I’m glad to know I’m not the only one to still have a grudge over the 2004 election. I’m still angry how Republicans treated John Kerry. I saw it up and personal with the college republicans at my school. Some people need to learn actions and words have consequences.

I don’t feel bad for them either. They were probably the same college Republicans who in 2004 compared John Kerry to Osama bin Laden and called him a flip flipped. I will never forgive that. My view of Republicans changed after the 2004 election.

Good riddance to Mitt RomneyOn Tuesday night, as I watched the election returns roll in, there were moments of great joy – but one of the happiest moment came after the losing candidate delivered his concession speech and disappeared through the backstage curtains at the Boston Convention Center. I realized at that moment that I would likely never again have to write or even, for that matter, think about Mitt Romney.

Now, I understand that, as a general rule, you don’t hit a guy when he’s down. Romney suffered a crushing defeat, one that according to aides he was completely unprepared for.

But at the end of the day, Romney’s campaign should be assessed in the most accurate possible manner. Its failings should not be sugarcoated or glossed over. Instead, it should be described precisely as it was: One of the most cynical, dishonest and disreputable presidential campaigns in modern American history. more here http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/the_rumble/2012/11/good-riddance-to-mitt-romney

Oh dear….so he took his jump-off to Paris on taxpayer dollars…smhexcerpt: Sources who long feared him have already begun to leak salacious details; one told me this weekend that he took Broadwell along with him on a government funded trip to Paris in July 2011. http://www.buzzfeed.com/mhastings/the-sins-of-general-david-petraeus

2 years ago Fox News called taxing the rich immoral. One Obama reelection later, they support it.

    By: Jason EasleyNovember 11th, 2012

On Fox News Sunday, Bill Kristol floated Fox News’s complete cave on taxing the rich,’It won’t kill the country if we raise taxes a little bit on millionaires.’

Fox News has gone from calling raising taxes on the wealthy immoral in 2010,

to one Obama reelection later saying that it won’t hurt the country if we raise taxes on millionaires

Bill Kristol isn’t just any regular old Fox News talking head. He is a double Rupert Murdoch employee. He is both one of the founders and editors of The Weekly Standard, and a Fox News contributor. Kristol’s remarks today signal a potential shift in the winds over at Fox News.

Kristol’s comments today were an omen that Republicans know that Obama is going to get his way on raising taxes on the wealthy. They’ll still be bluster and noise out of people like Sean Hannity about how the economy will be ruined if we raise taxes on the rich, but Kristol’s remarks can be viewed as Rupert and Roger preparing their audience for something that they know is going to happen.

Sometimes how you see the world depends on where you shine the light. There’s plenty of ugliness to be found if you want to look for it. But there’s also this…

Ezra Klein says we’re living through a remarkable, historic period of change. I agree.

Step back and take an accounting of these last few years: The United States of America, a land where slaves were kept 150 years ago and bathrooms were segregated as recently as 50 years ago, elected and reelected our first black president. We passed and ratified a universal health-care system. We saw the first female Speaker of the House, the first Hispanic Supreme Court Justice, and the first openly gay member of the Senate. We stopped a Great Depression, rewrote the nation’s financial regulations, and nearly defaulted on our debt for the first time in our history. Connecticut, Iowa, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Vermont, Maine, Maryland, Washington and the District of Columbia legalized gay marriage, and the president and the vice president both proclaimed their support. Colorado and Washington legalized marijuana. We killed the most dangerous terrorist in the world and managed two wars. We’ve seen inequality and debt skyrocket to some of the highest levels in American history. We passed a stimulus and
investment bill that will transform everything from medical records to education and began a drone campaign that will likely be seen as an epochal shift in the way the United States conducts war.

I want all elements of the rainbow recognized as well, I want the Rethugs to understand that they have no hold on any demographic whatsoever, I want them to see that they are losing in overall numbers for their core constituency too – keep on with the racist rhetoric mofos ‘White guys’ voted for Obama, too
By Jonathan CapehartDemocrats are crowing rather loudly about how Latinos, African Americans, women and young people came out to vote in numbers that helped keep President Obama in the White House. As well they should. The demographics of this nation are changing and Democrats are benefiting from it. But a friend of mine e-mailed this morning with a legitimate worry.

“I really worry about not recognizing the ‘white guys’ who did vote for Obama and made a difference in the election,” the self-described middle-age, upper-income, highly curious and vocal African American woman from Colorado wrote. “I know tons of them of all ages, income levels, political persuasions and sexual orientations. Just think it is short-sighted if we don’t acknowledge [them], starting with the campaign team.”more here: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-partisan/post/white-guys-voted-for-obama-too/2012/11/09/d165d16e-2a98-11e2-b4e0-346287b7e56c_blog.html

    • Alma98

They’re reading this wrong, the reason for the big deal over minorities has to do with Romney & the MSM thinking we would stay home. Also even more of us came out in 2012 than in 2008.

      • Miranda

And the media as a whole is doing a piss ass job of explaining that – all they are doing is claiming the GOP just has to let up on immigration and BOOM! their troubles are over! I watched some of the Sunday shows today just to see what they were saying and its like they all gathered in a room on Wed morning and came up with talking points for everyone to go out and parrot. Just claim the GOP needs latinos – pretend like “immigration” is somehow the only issue of concern to everyone who’s name sounds kinda “latino-ish” and viola! that’s it. The 4th estate is dead and ain’t coming back.

        • Alma98

Yep, like people are gonna overlook self deportation and calling them dogs and moochers. Or forgetting how they acted like jackasses when it came to the Dream Act. They’re just gonna act like nothing bad happened to them and double down. I say go ahead see and how far that gets them.

          • Aquagranny911

            Also “aliens” & “illegals”….we won’t forget.

          • Alma98

Not forgetting AG as you say (“they can bite the big cactus!”)

        • qosine

Exactly! The Obama Coalition rejected their conservative ideology, policies, politics, everything.

They use the Constitution, with an obsessive focus on
The Bill of Rights to restrict, deny, and exclude.

For example: If we could only get “moderate” on “social issues” [name “identity group”] who are “fiscal conservatives,” we could win.

Status Quo conservative ideology for minorities.

          Yeah, that’s the ticket.

        • jziglar

          Exactly !

The GOP’s problems are beyond just immigration. Others including Dems and Latino’s have pointed that out. Even David Frum said that immigration reform will not save them. The party needs a total overhaul because they are outside the mainstream of American politics. The GOP’s ideas are totally out of step with the voters especially minorities. These groups believe that government has a role to play in our society. Either the GOP moves to the center and overhaul the party or they will become a small regional party.

      • Ebogan63

They thought we wouldn’t come out for PBO cuz we are LAZY, which is what the racist MSM and Rmoney campaign were betting on and they bet wrong.

        Always bet on black.

        • Alma98

          Always!

        • Aquagranny911

Don’t forget this one: “Latinos don’t vote” but we do!

          • Alma98

            deleted wrong place.

      • conlakappa

To a point, yes. But they are also trying to comfort themselves by saying it is just because of nonwhites/nonwhite men. To drill down would be to uncover the unthinkable. Plus, they are lazy so it is just as easy to follow the lazy narrative they had already constructed.

    • Ebogan63

Sorry, Jonathan, it’s not all about white guys anymore.

      • JojoRaze

Part of this is the bandwagon effect…people don’t want to be associated with a loser. I recall a story I heard on NPR that after JFK got assassinated everyone claimed to have loved him and to have voted for him, when the 1960 election was uber-close–so close that in all likelihood JFK’s Daddy had stolen it in Chicago, which is where the whole bromide, vote early and often came from.

Also, this is the white men in the NorthEast and the Midwest and CA, and the Pacific Northwest to not be associated with the Southern men that voted overwhelmingly for Mittens.

    – – –Jon Husted Hatches a Plan to Make Sure Democrats Never Win Ohio Again – —

    — -Now that Barack Obama is the official and non-recountable winner in Scott-land, let’s fast-forward to the next bundle of mischief the Republicans are going to unleash on citizen innocents from here to the mid-terms. Like a jumping bean on Meth, far-right dirty tricksters are incapable of taking a break from their treachery of cutting Democrats off at the knees.

The red states are going to be the busiest of little bees (jumping beans?) in the continued creation of their latest political depravity. Here’s one tactic that is a favorite of Ohio’s radical right Secretary of State, Jon Husted, arguably the most partisan state politician in the nation.

This is Jon’s proposal as forwarded to me by an Ohio Professor-Emeritus friend of mine. A little background (spoiler alert: this could be a tad boring). Redistricting takes place every 10 years, right after the Census. The object is to make the population of each district roughly the same, but it’s really little more than establishing political advantage for the party in power – – –
    – -SNIP – –

As I’ve already explained, the party in power draws up the districts through states and/or commissions to favor their continued power to the greatest extent possible. Back to Husted. Here’s what Jon wants to do as tracked by the Daily Kos Meteor Blades from its origins at Plunderbund, a blog self-described as focusing on Ohio and national politics.

    – — -SNIP- –

    – –Bottom line. Stay on top of all the upcoming inevitable political and constitutional vandalism from the Republican Party and its legislators. Obama’s win has made them really mad.

    – –Cornel West has made it clear that he feels that President Obama should be more proactive in tackling issues like poverty and the prison-industrial complex. Some African Americans see the professor’s views as divisive, while others say he’s speaking truth to power. Recently in an interview with Democracy Now, West and Tavis Smiley were asked about the president’s priorities, and while Smiley said Americans must encourage the POTUS to be the best he can be, West was much more critical, writes the Atlanta Daily World.

“I think that it’s morally obscene and spiritually profane to spend $6 billion on an election, $2 billion on a presidential election, and not have any serious discussion—poverty, trade unions being pushed against the wall dealing with stagnating and declining wages when profits are still up and the 1 percent are doing very well, no talk about drones dropping bombs on innocent people. So we end up with such a narrow, truncated political discourse, as the major problems—ecological catastrophe, climate change, global warming. So it’s very sad. I mean, I’m glad there was not a right-wing takeover, but we end up with a Republican, a Rockefeller Republican in blackface, with Barack Obama, so that our struggle with regard to poverty intensifies” …

    – –The Sins Of General David Petraeus – —

    – — -The fraud that General David Petraeus perpetrated on America started many years before the general seduced Paula Broadwell, a lower ranking officer 20 years his junior, after meeting her on a campus visit to Harvard.

More so than any other leading military figure, Petraeus’s entire philosophy has been based on hiding the truth; on deception; on building a false image. “Perception,” is key, he wrote in his 1987 Princeton dissertation. “What policymakers believe to have taken place in any particular case is what matters—more than what actually occurred.”

Yes, it’s not what actually happens that matters—it’s what you can convince the public they think happened.

Until this weekend, Petraeus had been incredibly successful in making the public think he was a man of great integrity and honor, among other things. Most of the stories written about him fall under what we hacks in the media like to call “a blowjob.” Vanity Fair. The New Yorker. The New York Times. The Washington Post. Time. Newsweek. In total, all the profiles, stage-managed and controlled by the Pentagon’s multi-million dollar public relations apparatus, built up an unrealistic and superhuman myth around the general that in the end did not do Petraeus or the public any favors. Ironically, despite all the media fellating, our esteemed and sex-obsessed press somehow missed the actual blowjob.

Before I lay out the Petraeus counter-narrative—a narrative intentionally ignored by most of the Pentagon press and national security reporters, for reasons I’ll soon explain—let me say this about the man once known as King David; General Betray-Us; or P4, by his admirers, his enemies, and his fellow service members, respectively. He’s an impressive guy, a highly motivated individual, a world class bullshit artist, a fitness addict, and a man who spent more time in shitty places over the past ten years than almost any other American serving their country. I’ve covered him for seven years now, and he’ll always have my respect and twisted admiration.

BWA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAexcerpt: The Romney campaign put a lot of stock in Orca, giving PBS NewsHour an advance look at the operation on November 5. But according to volunteers who saw and used the system, it was hardly a model of stability, having been developed in just seven months on a lightning schedule following the Republican primary elections. Orca had been conceived by two men—Romney’s Director of Voter Contact Dan Centinello and the campaign’s Political Director Rich Beeson. It was named in honor of the killer whale as an allusion to the Obama campaign’s own voter identification program, code-named Narwhal; orcas are the top predator of narwhals, Romney campaign staffers explained, and they were preparing to outshine the Democratic voter turnout effort.

As Romney’s Communications Director Gail Gitcho put it in the PBS piece, “The Obama campaign likes to brag about their ground operation, but it’s nothing compared to this.”http://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2012/11/inside-team-romneys-whale-of-an-it-meltdown/

Outrage Builds As Arizona Continues To Count VotesNearly a third of votes cast in Arizona remained uncounted the day after the election. Most of them were probably cast by Latinos, organized and newly registered by multiple civil rights groups in the state to combat candidates like the notorious Maricopa County Sheriff, Joe Arpaio.

On Thursday, the Secretary of State, Ken Bennett, announced the figures: 631,274 early and provisional ballots remained uncounted out of a total of 1.8 million votes. At least 350,000 of them are from Maricopa County (Phoenix metropolitan area), where Joe Arpaio has already claimed victory. Activist Randy Parraz, president of Citizens for a Better Arizona, told the Huffington Post, “We’re not conceding anything until every vote is counted. They’re just going to act like, ‘Oh, the election’s over, Arpaio wins.’ Hell no.”more here: http://www.addictinginfo.org/2012/11/11/outrage-builds-as-arizona-continues-to-count-votes/

I don’t know where it will end up but I do know we have people watching every ballot.

This thing is just so fucking pissing me off. We are not FL where people were voting well past midnight on Nov 6. Our polls closed at 7 PM & we did not have the immense population of voters as FL. Almost 40% of our votes were turned in early. There is absolutely no excuse for this caca.

    – –Karen Hughes: I’ll ‘cut out’ the tongue of GOPers talking rape

    – – -Former George W. Bush adviser Karen Hughes dissects the lessons learned from the 2012 race on our home page, and cites a key one for the Republican party:

Finally, the Republican Party has to set a tone that is more respectful, positive and inclusive. The immigration rhetoric that came out of the Republican primary seemed harsh, unwelcoming and offputting to many minority voters. Obama increased his share of the Hispanic vote and won it 69 percent to 29 percent (per The New York Times exit poll); likewise he built a huge margin among Asian voters, 74-25, almost doubling the margin of his support compared to 2008. Both of those constituencies are hardworking, upwardly mobile, family-oriented, and should be open to Republican appeals if we don’t make them feel unwelcome.

And if another Republican man says anything about rape other than it is a horrific, violent crime, I want to personally cut out his tongue. The college-age daughters of many of my friends voted for Obama because they were completely turned off by Neanderthal comments like the suggestion of “legitimate rape.”

      • JojoRaze

I love how she leaves out African Americans because I guess they are not hardworking, upward mobile.

All the “reasonable Republican” op-eds are doing this. David Brooks’ op-ed today ticked me off for this reason. The white right’s thesis is basically: Why are hard-working, upwardly mobile God-fearing Asians and Latinos voting like those no-good niggers? I’m glad that commenters on that op-ed called Bo-bo out for basically trying to give Asians and Latinos white privilege by wiping his feet on black people, by noting that white people got stuff from the government, notably land that the gov’t stole from Native Americans.

      • nathkatun7

It’s the beginning of the “Divide and Conquer” GOP project. Most white people know fully well that most African Americans are not easily fooled. Consequently, the GOP’s political strategy for the future is to peel off Latinos and Asians from the Democratic party. The same thing they tried this year with Jews and failed miserably. I hope both the Latino and Asian communities will see through these fake GOP tactics of “Divide and Conquer.”

  • JojoRaze

Not gloating, I think, because I’m saving the energy for the battles ahead.
John Boehner is trying to mess around and PBO is gonna basically ether him…I got a dream about it and it was complicated. Anywho, another breakdown of how Latinos voted.

A great webapp of a poll from Nov 5 Latino Decisions poll detailing how Latino voters in battleground and other states planned to vote. Features age, gender, religion, citizenship status(US born or naturalized), land of origin breakdowns of how Latinos voted.

Puerto Ricans, Dominicans and Mexicans were not playing with Mittens. Even the evangelicos like me who don’t support ssm or abortion voted for the president 54% to 44%. Catholic Latinos were even worse in not feeling Mittens. 81% of them voted for PBO. The only Latinos who gave Mittens any play were the Cubanos, as per usual. They got theirs so everyone else can go hang. However, they only voted for Mittens 54% to 44% and they are a dwindling portion of the Latino vote. The racism, which denies the humanity of people of color, and the “guvmint is EVIL, except when it’s in your womb” ethos is not playing well at all. You can’t run on deporting people’s papi or mami, abuela or tia and hope to win. To quote Lauren Hill, Republicans, “How you gonna win when you ain’t right within?”

    — –The Long Line Outside Romney’s Door and His New Message to Supporters

    – -On Friday morning, Mitt Romney and his wife Ann drove themselves to campaign headquarters in Boston. Gone were the secret service detail and the motorcade that had trailed them in the final months of the campaign. Instead of the long lines of supporters waiting to see them, there was now a line of dozens of staffers outside Romney’s office door; some waiting to shake his hand, others looking for a quiet moment with the Governor after a loss that stunned a confident campaign Tuesday night.

One Romney staffer said the line easily reached a hundred employees Friday as the former presidential candidate ate pizza out of the box in his office. Mrs. Romney wore jeans and a sweater. The Romneys came to headquarters every day after the election after telling staffers they would do anything they could to help them find their next job.

Their pledge to help came just hours after the loss Tuesday night. Romney called a staff meeting at headquarters the next morning. With emotions still raw from the night before, Romney and his wife arrived to deafening applause and chants of “Mitt, Mitt, Mitt.” As workers wiped away their tears, one staffer said Romney was clearly moved and that Mrs. Romney cried as they stood before the team.

Y’all msnbc has lost their damn minds! http://www.nytimes.com/2012/11/12/business/media/msnbc-its-ratings-rising-gains-ground-on-fox-news.html?pagewanted=all
Are they SERIOUSLY thinking bout giving ezra klein a show before our Joy Reid?
Mediate is insinuating that ed may be replaced with ezra. I don’t think they are going to get rid of ed but they need to change the nite time line up. As a matter of fact I’ve already done it for them.
5pm Martin Bashir cause I work and can’t see his show
6pm Joy Reid market to Black& urban professionals and great lead in for Rev
7pm Rev Al His audience don’t have to worry bout missing some of his show
8pm Ed Shultz Unfortunately they are not getting rid of his ass/good ratings
9pm rachel she’s designated Queen Bee (why don’t know) get prime real estate
10pm Lawrence well Lawrence is Lawrence with his blue shirt wearing 2 match blues self

Put tweety in an earlier slot at 4 with the other daytime DINOS/RINOS and have a TRUE progressive/liberal block from 5-11pm

    • qosine

Joy Reid is FAR better than Ezra Klein, who with Chris Hayes are too Rachel like. I don’t want the Nation people to take over.

      • Ebogan63

Last thing we need is those Nation idiots on the teevee .And Deaniac is a far better policy wonk than Klein could ever be.

    miranda – – — SPEAKIN’ of the Conservative Religious Leaders – —

    – —-Christian Conservatives Have a Sad - – – —

    – – —– I take a kind of grim satisfaction in this:

It is not as though [Christian conservatives] did not put up a fight; they went all out as never before: The Rev. Billy Graham dropped any pretense of nonpartisanship and all but endorsed Mitt Romney for president. Roman Catholic bishops denounced President Obama’s policies as a threat to life, religious liberty and the traditional nuclear family. Ralph Reed’s Faith and Freedom Coalition distributed more voter guides in churches and contacted more homes by mail and phone than ever before.

“Millions of American evangelicals are absolutely shocked by not just the presidential election, but by the entire avalanche of results that came in,” R. Albert Mohler Jr., president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, in Louisville, Ky., said in an interview. “It’s not that our message — we think abortion is wrong, we think same-sex marriage is wrong — didn’t get out. It did get out.

“It’s that the entire moral landscape has changed,” he said. “An increasingly secularized America understands our positions, and has rejected them.”

    – – — I honestly would not mind that we have some very traditional-minded religious people in this country if they didn’t try to take their beliefs and translate them into political power. – —

    – – – Uhhhhhh – — -Whateva happened 2 the – – -SEPARATION of CHURCH annnnd –STATE?? – – – -Uh! – —

    • qosine

Keeps them both intact. I was raised to not talk about politics, religion, and money in casual conversation. The first time I experienced politics in church was as a visitor. They passed around a petition against abortion, and I got up and left. I’m here to sing, pray for guidance, hear a sermon, contemplate,
look at stained glass windows, but NOT politics.
