While this NYT article tries to make it seem like Black support for PBO is waning, they inadvertently step on their own message with the last sentence:

“An African-American member of Congress once said that because of Obama his mother now watches cable news regularly and talks to him regularly and heatedly about policy matters.”

And I bet this is true for MANY Black families which is why Romney won’t be able to fool us. We are paying attention now more than ever before, and we can see right through his bs, Tara Wall be damned!

Outside Spending Against Sherrod Brown Tops $10 Million

The latest ad attacking Sen. Sherrod Brown tipped the outside spending scales past the $10 million mark against the Ohio incumbent, the most money being spent against any Senate candidate, according to the Brown campaign.

The latest outside attack ad, with a buy of $1.1 million from the Karl Rove-affiliated Crossroads GPS, depicts Brown as the most loyal supporter of the “Obama agenda.” “It’s time to play, ‘Who’s the Biggest Supporter of the Obama Agenda In Ohio?’” an announcer says, as a game show appears on screen. “It’s Sherrod Brown! Brown backed Obama’s agenda a whopping 95 percent of the time.”

The Crossroads ad will run for 10 days in major media markets across the state.

The latest buy is part of a larger $7.8 million buy. A spokesperson for the Brown campaign says the campaign believes the rest of the $6.7 million will be used to attack Brown in the two months leading up to the election.

Obama Defends Access To Contraception: It’s ‘Not Fair’ For Catholic Institutions To Deny Women Birth Control

Some say it doesn’t go far enough and that the real, the much bigger issue is religious liberty, not contraception.

OBAMA: Yeah. Well it’s absolutely true that religious liberty is critical. I mean that’s what our country was founded on. That’s the reason why we exempted churches, we exempted religious institutions, but we did say that big Catholic hospitals or universities who employ a lot of non-Catholics and who receive a lot of federal money, that for them to be in a position to say to a woman who works there you can’t get that from your insurance company even though the institution isn’t paying for it, that that crosses the line where that woman, she suddenly is gonna have to bear the burden and the cost of that. And that’s not fair.

You know how Willard’s campaign keeps lying about his role in Bain after 1999. How they declared that poor Willard was incapable of walking and chewing bubble gum at the same time so he had to leave Bain to focus on the Olympics and whatever happened at Bain after that had nothing to do with him. (Makes you wonder why he thinks he can be President of the United States if he’s so easily flustered, but that another issue.) But you know what I’m talking about, right? The constant denials and lies and spinning. Well, here’s more proof which I’m sure they’ll deny, lie about, and continue to spin. See how that works?

No, Romney Didn’t Leave Bain in 1999

But here’s the thing. I’ve found yet more instances where Romney made declarations to the SEC that he was still involved in running Bain after February 1999. To the best of my knowledge, no one has yet noted these. The documents go into different aspects of Romney’s ownership of various Bain and Bain related assets. But in both Romney had to say what he currently did for a living.

Here are two SEC filings from July 2000 and February 2001 in which Romney lists his “principal occupation” as “Managing Director of Bain Capital, Inc.”

2. Romneycare’s individual mandate is constitutional, but Obamacare’s isn’t. Mitt Romney’s spokespeople have argued that the individual mandate is an “unconstitutional penalty.” Romney called it a constitutional tax. But whatever it’s called, he wants to be clear that Obama is raising taxes and Romney, when he passed a nearly identical bill in Massachusetts, was not. (He did, however, briefly say it was a tax then too)

If you read the article that MonieTalks posted earlier today, you’ll notice some interesting parallels between Mitt’s actions/mentality and that of the Mormon Church regarding the accumulation of wealth. “We look to not only the spiritual but also the temporal, and we believe that a person who is impoverished temporally cannot blossom spiritually.” Now, it’s easier to understand why Mitt isn’t concerned about poor people. If you’re not rich, you don’t count. Simple as that. Something is very wrong here….
